How much is my soul, relationship and friendship with Jesus worth? To Judas it was worth 30 pieces of silver:
One of the Twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?” They paid him thirty pieces of silver, and from that time on he looked for an opportunity to hand him over. (Matthew 26:14-16)
Today according to one website, here, says it would be about $6000. Would I be willing to betray Jesus for $6000? That sounds a little silly doesn’t it but Satan, the father of lies, was pretty powerful to convince Judas to do just that.
My relationship with Jesus is not for sale. He is my Lord and Savior. Without him I am nothing and Judas Iscariot is a great example of what being nothing is without Jesus. As I approach Good Friday, I pray for a deeper understanding and love for the sacrifice, passion and death that Jesus gave for me. Thank you Jesus. I praise your Holy Name forever. Amen.
He is the Truth, the life , the way and the resurrection .Happy Easter.
