Psalm 79 today touches on the Glory of the Name of God. I am filled with praise and thanksgiving for God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Honestly, just to think of God brings me peace. I do believe I am never alone even though I spend much time by myself in silence and in prayer.
I am feeling so very thankful. I could list much of what I am thankful for as I am blessed beyond what I deserve. But what I am most thankful for today is the Memorial of Saints Joachim and Anne who are celebrated today as the parents of our Blessed Mother Mary, chosen to be the Mother of our Lord and Savior Jesus. Parents are so important. God bless all the parents in the world. May God’s grace guide them and their children into the light of Christ.
Saints Joachim and Anne, pray for us! Amen.
My dear late mother was born on July 25, the day before St. Anne’s feast day, so that’s why she was named Ann. So I think of her every year at this time, even more than usual! I am thankful for having such wonderful parents.

Isn’t God wonderful to give us such ways to remember those we will always love even in loss. Praise God for your wonderful parents. I am sure they are pleased with your journey.

I don’t know if they’re always pleased, but I think they know I’m trying! 🙂
